Australian Federal Police Commissioner's Medal for Conspicuous Conduct

Instituted in 2003 and awarded to AFP staff involved in a prescribed operation or activity deemed by the Commissioner to be significant.
This medal is the internal award for the AFP, presented for operations involving members and not given without a prescribed clasp detailed with the name of the relevant operation or activity. Further ongoing operations or activities will be designated when approved or required.
If in the event a member is awarded a second operational clasp, it will be attached to the ribbon in order of date of issue working up the ribbon.
When worn as a ribbon bar, there is no emblem.
The award is worn below the nameplate on the right side and in order of precedence from left to right.
